Organic certification means that the farmers growing their coffee do not use synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers on their crops. Pest prevention is also required to be done naturally. By cultivating coffee this way, farmers and consumers are not exposed to harmful chemicals, and the natural environment is preserved, along with its water supplies, trees, animal, birds, and insects. Furthermore, farmers also develop a sustainable crop rotation plan to prevent erosion and the loss of nutrients in the soil. All organic coffees must pass an inspection and testing before being allowed into the country and sold as organic. We only roast decaf coffee that is SWISS WATER® Process. Most other processes use chemical solvents, like Methylene Chloride or Ethyl Acetate to decaffeinate coffee beans. The SWISS WATER® Process is a taste-driven, 100% chemical free decaffeination process that delivers coffee that is 99.9% caffeine-free while protecting the unique-origin characteristics and flavors.
